Biography of Jack Kauffman, Videographer of Uncorked Potential, award-winning documentary on the Finger Lakes wine region.

Jack Kauffman began his trajectory in the world of wine when he entered freshman year at Hobart College in Geneva, New York.  The opportunity to visit numerous tasting rooms in the Finger Lakes helped develop his interest in wine into a true passion.  During his junior year of college he studied in the wine program at IAU College in Aix-en-Provence, France and then finished his Bachelor’s degree at Hobart with a major in Media & Society (Cultural Production concentration) and a minor in Studio Art.  Upon graduation he decided to use his filmmaking skills (he founded the video production company, WildStorm, LLC, years prior) with his wine skills to produce the now award-winning documentary on the Finger Lakes wine region, Uncorked Potential.  Shortly after producing the documentary he decided to work for several wine retailers and restaurants while pursuing the rank of Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.  Upon attaining the sommelier certification he moved to Charleston, South Carolina to work as the wine director and educator for Bin 526.  After a year and half with Bin 526 Jack is now working on developing his consultation business, In Vino Inventa, and continuing to produce content for all aspects of the wine industry.
