Greetings from Penn Yan! I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine and start of summer!
Exciting changes are coming this summer at the Foundation, and we intend to capitalize on new and ongoing initiatives that raise the profile of the New York wine and grape industry on a local, state, national, and international level.
First, we want to share internal staff changes as of July 1st, 2019. As we have identified new priorities based on our members’ feedback, we have reorganized and refocused the following three positions: Valerie Ross will be our Director of Programs and Marketing; Jennifer Cooper will be our Event Manager; and I, Julie Purpura Hosbach, will be our Education & Member Services Manager.
Second, we are expanding our educational programming in response to input given by our members during last year’s strategic plan focus group sessions. Increased webinars, trainings, representatives of the Foundation presenting at events across the state, are just a few of the exciting plans we have coming.
We have also enhanced our Consumer Membership benefits. We believe everyone who enjoys wine should also be drinking New York wines as New York Wine Country offers a wine touring and tasting experience that is unforgettable!
