Biography of David Bova, VP/GM, Millbrook Vineyards & Winery
David Bova is a Partner and acts as Vice President of Pebble Ridge Vineyards and Wine Estates, LLC. (“PRVWE”), a California vineyard and winery-holding company.
PRVWE currently owns Vista Verde Vineyards in the Central Coast Region of California. This contract vineyard operation has over 500 acres of premium grape vines under cultivation. Mr. Bova has direct operating responsibility for overall vineyard operations, management, and contract administration. Pebble Ridge is a contract grape grower for Kendall-Jackson Winery, Beringer Wine Estates, Robert Mondavi Winery, Chalone, and UDV. In addition, PRVWE owns Williams Selyem Winery in the Russian River Region of Sonoma County. Mr. Bova maintains an advisory role in the management of Williams Selyem.
Mr. Bova also acts as Vice President and General Manager of Millbrook Vineyards & Winery in Millbrook, NY. Mr. Bova and Mr. Dyson founded Millbrook Vineyards and Winery in Mr. Dyson's Millbrook garage in 1983. Since then, Millbrook Winery has grown to an annual case production level of over 12,000 cases. Currently, Millbrook Vineyards has planted 30 acres of vinifera vines in their Hudson Valley, New York vineyard including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Tocai Friulano. At Millbrook Vineyards, Mr. Bova is responsible for overall vineyard and winery management.
Before joining Mr. Dyson on a full time basis in 1986, Mr. Bova spent 4 years at the New York advertising agency of Rosenfeld, Sirowitz, and Lawson as an Account Executive; and 2 years at E.P. Dutton, a trade and children’s book publisher, as Vice President of Distribution and Warehousing.
Mr. Bova graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1980, and attended Pace University in New York City for his Masters of Business Administration. Mr. Bova married Margaret Ann Strohm of Chagrin Falls, Ohio in 1986. They live in Millbrook, New York with their two sons Hudson and George
